Ingredients
1/2 white onion, diced
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp burger seasoning
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup beef broth
12 pack Hawaiian rolls
3 cups shredded cheese, divided
2 tbsp butter, melted
Recipe
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- In a medium skillet, sauté the white onion until it’s translucent.
- Add the ground beef and cook until it’s completely brown.
- Add the ketchup, burger seasoning, salt, pepper, brown sugar and beef broth.
- Stir it all up until it’s completely combined. Cook until it begins to thicken.
- Grab a baking sheet and remove the 12 Hawaiian rolls from the package.
- Without separating the rolls, using a bread knife and cut the rolls into sliders (meaning cut the rolls right down the middle to make tops and bottoms).
- Take the top part off and then sprinkle 2 cups of shredded cheese on the bottom half of the rolls.
- Spoon the beef mixture on top of the cheese and smooth it out.
- Sprinkle the remaining cup of cheese on the beef mixture.
- Lay the top back on the Hawaiian rolls.
- Brush the melted butter on top of the rolls.
- Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and buns are a little brown.
