Dinners I Fed My Family of 5 Last Week (Jan 26)

dinners I fed my family of 5

Welcome to my series, “Dinner I Fed My Family of 5 Last Week.” The goal is to help busy moms meal plan with ideas for dinners and a grocery list. Amazing, right? I love this because I make my grocery list for dinners and I just give you all the information afterward. Win, Win! I will also give some breakfast ideas too. The extra recipe options are not included in the grocery list so if you want to make that, be sure to add those ingredients.

When meal planning, the grocery list is the hardest part to make sure you get everything you need without overspending. This list does not include school lunches for my kids. For those, it’s pretty straight forward– they like deli sandwiches with a fruit, veggie and chips. If you want to be sure to get that stuff too, be sure to add that to the grocery list I provide.

Below I have the meals I made with instructions under them, links to the recipes or links to how to make it on my Instagram. Be sure to follow my Instagram so you don’t miss out on recipes and motherhood.

Keep in mind, I meal prep so I make this and then we reheat the leftovers throughout the week too.

This recipe is one of the most visited on my website every year and for good reason. Here’s a link to the recipe!

We love a taco night! For this, you’ll cook your ground beef until it’s brown and then add in the taco seasoning (with water like the directions on the packet). Be sure to grab your taco shells or tortillas. To serve, top the tacos with your favorite toppings. We use black beans, lettuce, salsa, cheese, sour cream and tomatoes. For a side dish, I cook some frozen corn on the stovetop.

I love this recipe for dinner, but also reheated for lunch! It’s light and so delicious. Here’s a link to the recipe.

Chicken Tortilla Soup is cozy, warm and so flavorful. This is one that’s on repeat for the winter season in my home. Here’s a link to the recipe.

Grocery List

Okay, now that you know what I made, it’s your turn! Below is the grocery list so take a screenshot and grab the items you need. Come back to this blog to see all the recipes throughout the week.

Bonus Recipe that is not included in your grocery list, but is so good.

Yogurt bowl for breakfast. I use yogurt, granola and fruit with a little drizzle of honey.
