Ingredients
1lb ground beef
2 pieces of bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 tbsp dry mustard
1 tbsp paprika
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
8-10 mini potatoes
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Recipe
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
- In a medium sized, oven safe skillet, cook your bacon that have been chopped up into 1 inch pieces. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the ground beef to that same skillet. Once it’s almost browned, add in 1 tbsp dry mustard, 1 tbsp paprika, 2 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper. Stir it up!
- Take about 8-10 mini potatoes and thinly slice them. I use a mandoline.
- Push the ground beef to one side of the pan. Add a layer of potatoes to the bottom of the skillet. Push the beef over the potatoes to the other side so you can add potatoes to the other half of the bottom of the skillet. Spread the beef out in a single layer.
- Add a top layer of thinly sliced potatoes.
- Pour 2 cups milk to the pan and then sprinkle 2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in your oven for 20-30 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through and very little liquid reminds. It’ll be slightly brown on top.
- Sprinkle your bacon on top and serve!
