
Crockpot Ham and Beans
Crockpot ham and beans, the coziest winter meal that is so delicious and I pair it with homemade cornbread.

Ingredients
1 lb dried great northern beans
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 large onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp parsley
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1 lb boneless ham, cut into small chunks
6 cups chicken stock
parsley for ganish
Recipe
- Put the dry beans in an airtight container and fill it with water, enough to cover the beans. Let them sit overnight.
- In the morning, rinse and drain the beans. Then place them in a large crockpot.
- Add the garlic, onion, salt, pepper, parsley, cloves and chopped ham into the crockpot.
- Add in the chicken stock and give it a good stir.
- Put the lid on your crockpot and cook on low for 9 hours, until the beans are tender and creamy.
- When you’re ready to serve, make your homemade cornbread and serve the ham and beans in a bowl with a side of cornbread!
