Ingredients
1 loaf of rustic bread
brie cheese wheel
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp thyme, divided
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
1/2 cup candied walnuts
Recipe
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Grab your loaf of bread and cut the top quarter of the bread of and set aside.
- Unwrap your brie cheese and cut off the very top to get rid of the rind.
- Use the brie wheel to measure a circle in the middle of the bread. Use a knife to cut around the cheese so the bread has the perfect size hollowed out for the cheese.
- Scoop out the middle of the bread to create a hole. Don’t put the cheese in yet!
- Cut slices around the edge of the bread, but not all the way through. This will create the pull apart pieces.
- Brush the inside of the bread with olive oil and sprinkle the thyme, salt and pepper to taste.
- Place the brie wheel in the hollowed out center of the bread, sprinkle with 1 tbsp of thyme and spoon 1/2 cup of whole berry cranberry sauce on top of the cheese.
- Put the top of the bread back on and bake for 20 minutes.
- Once done, remove the top, sprinkle with candied walnuts and enjoy!
