
Creamy Sausage and Tortellini
This creamy sausage and tortellini is a great weeknight meal since it takes 30 minutes and is a big hit in my home.

Ingredients
1 lb ground sausage
1 package of fresh cheese tortellini
1 stick of butter
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 cups shredded cheese ( I use a mix of mozzarella, parmesan and white cheddar)
Garnish: dried parsley
Recipe
- In a large skillet on medium heat, add your ground sausage and cook until it’s browned.
- Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add in the cheese tortellini and cook according to package.
- In the skillet that you cooked the sausage in on medium heat, add the butter and it’ll begin to melt.
- Stir in the heavy cream, the Italian seasoning and shredded cheese. Continue stirring and it’ll begin to bubble and thicken.
- Once it’s a creamy, alfredo-like texture, add the cooked sausage back into the skillet.
- Strain the tortellini and add that into the skillet too.
- Give it a big stir and let it cook on low for 5 minutes or so.
- To serve, top it with a little bit of dried parsley.
